Archival Remix is a collaboration between Emily Christina Murphy (UBCO) and Katherine McLeod (Concordia). We remix the records of flamenco dance in Canada—whether film, print, dance notation, radio, or cassette tape—to create something new. We communicate the breaks and continuities in the art form across the last hundred years, attending to the media and technologies that bring those histories to us. Our work is, itself, multimedia, using technology, sound, and movement to make the past live again.
